Library Terms of Service

The account holder counts as 1 borrower. Each child you register (who borrows on your account without their own login) also counts as 1 borrower. Total concurrent limit = (number of borrowers) x 2 books, where 2 is the per-borrower limit set by the library. For example, with 3 registered children there are 4 borrowers, so up to 8 books may be out at once. Return books before borrowing more once the total limit is reached.

The standard loan period is 14 days. Members may request a renewal at the librarian desk if no other member has reserved the item.

To encourage timely returns, a late fee of RM 1.00 per day will be charged for each overdue book. Fines begin accumulating the day after the due date.

Members are responsible for the condition of borrowed books. Significant damage or loss will result in a charge for the Full Replacement Cost of the item.

Borrowing privileges are paused if an account has overdue books or unpaid penalties. Privileges are restored once all outstanding items and fees are cleared.
